Getting there and around

By Plane
Edinburgh Airport is Scotland's capital airport. Edinburgh Airport is 10km (6 miles) west of the center.

Edinburgh's main rail stations, Waverley and Haymarket, are in the city centre. Rail passengers can get between airport and station by taxi  or by bus. The Airlink 100 service calls at Waverley and Haymarket stations. Journey times are 25 to 30 minutes in normal traffic. A night bus, the N22, also runs between Waverley station and the airport.

Trains from London's Kings Cross Station arrive in Edinburgh at Waverley Station, at the east end of Princes Street. Trains depart London every hour or so, taking about 4 1/2 hours.

By Bus
The least expensive way to go from London to Edinburgh is by bus, but it's an 8-hour journey. Scottish CityLink coaches depart from London's Victoria Coach Station, delivering you to Edinburgh's St. Andrew Square Bus Station.
